1964 90% Silver Quarter Ring - Size 6

American Quarters made before 1965, contain 90% silver (10% copper), making them very high quality. As silver prices rose, the silver content of coins was drastically decreased, beginning in 1965, and continuing until today. It is very unlikely a high silver content will ever return to our coins.

These rings become shinier, and smoother over time the more you wear them.

Our silver coin rings are shaped and sized with a hammer, a drill, and a metal file. No machinery is used, aside from the drill to initiate the hole in the coin. These coins are increasingly hard to find / expensive to acquire. This will only continue as they get older. The beauty, character, and uniqueness of these rings, comes from their imperfections:

• Slight imperfect shape due to being shaped by hand not machine.
• Small knicks, scratches and general ware of a 60+ year old coin.

This is also a family heirloom in the family Mission Think is owned by. My grandfather hand shaped my grandmother's wedding ring, which was a silver half dollar coin. Now, 2 generations later, I continue the tradition of hand shaping silver quarter and silver half dollar rings, in what I believe is the same method he used.
